Student Feedback Session: Students Weigh Opportunities and Challenges

During a recent student forum, participants shared thoughtful feedback on three potential school configuration scenarios. Students highlighted opportunities such as expanded course offerings, stronger athletic and activity programs, improved college and career readiness, enhanced facilities, and greater access to extracurricular activities.
Many students viewed Scenario 3 as offering the most long-term opportunities and financial benefits, while Scenarios 1 and 2 were seen as creating less disruption and maintaining familiar school experiences.
At the same time, students expressed concerns about transitions, larger school populations, transportation, preserving school identity and traditions, participation opportunities in athletics and activities, and ensuring students receive individualized support. Across all scenarios, students emphasized the importance of thoughtful planning, communication, student well-being, and maintaining strong educational and community connections throughout any future changes.
